The Bluffton Public Library was full of the Christmas spirit on Saturday, Dec. 11. Several family-oriented activities took place. To view videos of some of them check the options here:
I think you're from somewhere south of Bluffton, but I'm not sure where...could you fill us in on that?
I was born and raised in Gahanna, Ohio (think Easton area in Columbus) but my parents are from Southern, Ohio - Gallia County and Lawrence County, so I spent lots of summers at my grandparents farm.
You were a dancer for most of your childhood, correct? What type of dance?
The Bluffton Icon is happy to introduce to viewers the wit and wisdom of Bluffton's own Sam Diller, addressed the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce during its Dec. 10 breakfast meeting.
The Icon videotaped his talk and Diller gave his permission to show it. This is the first-ever complete program offered by The Icon. We believe is "vintage Sam Diller," as good as any small town gets.
The talk is in two parts, both 10 minutes in length. Stay tuned. We will offer viewers more of videos like this one throughout 2011.
Bluffton High School Lady Pirates defeated Lincolnview 57-48 on the road Dec. 9. The game was a Northwest Conference contest. Complete game stats are on the attachment at the bottom of this story.
Bluffton residential holiday light winners were announced on Dec. 10 by the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce.
The following residential display were selected winners. Each has a sign in their lawn stating their winning entry. In addition, each receives a $50 chamber gift certificate.
Bluffton University nose tackle Justin Crosier was recently named to the All-North Region Second Team by D3football.com for his work on the football field in 2010. This comes on the heels of Crosier earning First Team All-Heartland Conference honors.
