When did you graduate from BHS? Does that seem like a long time ago?
I graduated from Bluffton High School in 2003. It does not seem like it was that long ago, but time has passed quickly.
What were you involved in during your growing-up years?
During high school, I was involved in show choir, band, choir, musicals, Latin Club, National Honor Society, was an elementary and high school office helper, and took post-secondary classes at Bluffton. I also worked at The Food Store, which was a lot of fun!
Bluffton native David Rodabaugh, Lima attorney, is the December Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast speaker. His talk is part of a continuing series of recognizing persons with Bluffton connections who serve elsewhere in the county. The breakfast is in the third floor of the town hall on Friday, Dec. 9.
Breakfast serving starts at 7 a.m. and the program starts at 7:30 a.m. Richland Manor serves the free breakfast. Sielschott, Walsh, Keifer & Regula, Inc., certified public accountants, will sponsor the breakfast.
Lorenza Andrade Smith, a United Methodist pastor and advocate for immigrants, is the guest speaker during a 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 8, program in the Assembly Room, First Mennonite Church.
The session's focus is on the DREAM Act and the broader issues of immigration, naturalization and human rights in churches.
The second Advent service at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera will begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7. The theme is "He Comes the Messiah Long Foretold" and Pastor Jeff Bolwerk's message will focus on Jesus as our High Priest. The choir will sing "A Star of Jacob."
