The Lima-area Habitat for Humanity ReStore is coming to Blufftonfor a pick up.

ReStore volunteers will be in Bluffton at the Citizens National Bank parking lot from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, collecting donations of gently used home improvement materials, appliances and furniture.

Bluffton seventh and eight grade musicians earned several superiors and other otherstanding ratings at Saturday's junior high solo and ensemble contest.

Bluffton's results follow:

Dr. Darrell Groman is the guest speaker at the 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, meeting of Friends Helping Friends, the Bluffton area group for those with Multiple Sclerosis. The meeting will be held in the third floor of the town hall.

The group meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. It is open to all those with MS and their friends who wish to learn more about the disease. It covers parts of Allen, Putnam and Hardin counties

Why is Harmon Field locked up? The gates should be locked open so people can use the field to walk or whatever. I think people don't know that it was given to the Village of Bluffton and the school took care of it. Seems to me the caretaker has locked out the owner!!!

St. John's United Church of Christ beef and noodle dinner, a Bluffton tradition, is back and slated for Friday, April 13.

The dinner will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 pm in St. John's Oppermann Hall, which can be accessed from College Avenue. (223 West College Ave, Bluffton)

The dinner includes homegrown beef, homemade noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, cole slaw, roll, homemade pie and beverages.

Admission for adults is $7, for young adults 6th grade through college $5, for elementary students $4 and children pre-K are free. Eat in or carry out.

Pastors, church leaders, youth ministers, parish nurses, chaplains, social workers and counselors are invited to attend a workshop on identifying and incorporating the gifts and talents of those with developmental disabilities.

The event will be held Tuesday, April 24 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Winebrenner Theological Seminary, 950 N. Main St., Findlay. Continuing education credits will be offered to those in attendance.

The event will discuss how to envision congregations which include persons with developmental disabilities in the life and work of the faith community.
