Tastefully Simple is a direct sales company that prides itself on providing an array of delicious, easy to make food products to their customers. And that's exactly what Amy Roby, an independent consultant for Tastefully Simple, hopes to bring to the Bluffton community.
Roby, who has worked alongside with the brand since November, decided to invest in a career with Tastefully Simple after she and her husband moved into their home in Bluffton and decided to host a party sponsored by the company.
Dick Ramseyer, a member of the Bluffton Lions Club, has received the International Leadership Award at the Ohio State Lions Convention. The event was May 19 in Columbus.
Lions District Governors from around the state recommend Lions in their district for national awards who have provided exemplary service to their community.
"It was a pleasure for me to recommend Dick from District 13-A for the International Leadership Award provided by the Lions International President, Wing-Kun Tam," said Barbara Plaugher also of the Bluffton club.
Wanda Pannabecker will receive a life membership at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center's June dinner meeting upon reaching her 90th birthday in June.
The dinner meeting, held at 6 p.m., Monday, June 11, at the Center, is catered by Schnipke Inn, Ottawa. The menu is baked steak, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, cole slaw, dinner roll and strawberry pie. Tickets are $7 are must be purchased by June 6.
Dr. David Houston will present a program on Haiti at the meeting. Barbara Shinaberry is the MC. Anna Ruth Reichenbach and friends are hostesses.
Students from Krysti's Music Studio perform in music recitals this week, according to Kyrsti Shey.
There are four different concerts, each with different music and students ranging from age 4 to adult. Students will be performing on piano, guitar, voice and violin.
The dates and times for the concerts are Sunday, May 27 at 2 p.m., Tuesday May 29 at 6:30 p.m., Thursday May 31 at 7 p.m., and Saturday June 2 at 2 p.m. Each recital is held at Rockport United Methodist Church at 5505 Rockport Road.
Trinity Lutheran School's graduation will be held on Sunday, June 3, in the 10:30 a.m. service at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera.
Avery Insley is the class speaker. The class members are: Emily Heldman, Avery Insley, Hannah Lussier, Justine Mitchell and Jonathon Schmehl.
The class motto is "Surely I am with you always to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28:20)"; the class flower is the white rose and the colors are teal and silver. The students in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade will sing "Children of the Heavenly Father."
Sign-ups for the Bluffton Bucs midget football team are underway. Parents can register their children for the Bucs by logging onto www.blufftonbucs.com.

Ralph and Melba Gerber celebrate 50th Wedding Anniversary.
Ralph and Melba (Martin) Gerber of Bluffton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 3, 2012. They were married by Rev. John D. Zehr at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church in Wakarusa, Ind., on June 3, 1962.
They have three daughters: Dave and Lori (Gerber) Burkholder, Ed and Terri (Gerber) Ward, and Marvin and Kelli (Gerber) Foster. Ralph and Melba have six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
