Ashley B. Fields, daughter of Robert Fields, Bluffton, and Amie Stratton also of Bluffton, recently graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences at Ohio Northern University. She received the Bachelor of Science in nursing.
On campus, Fields was active in the ONU chapter of the National Student Nursing Association. Fields is a graduate of Bluffton High School.
On Saturday, this Bluffton 11-13 year old fastpitch softball team took first place in the Tri-County Tournament. They also took first place in the Tri-County Fastpitch League going undefeated this season.

Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) associate Barbara Plaugher received the Ohio Hospital Association (OHA) Albert E. Dyckes Health Care Worker of the Year Award at the annual OHA Recognition Dinner held June 11. Earlier this year she was named Blanchard Valley Health Systems Associate of the Year.

A major severe weather outbreak - including a squall line tonight - is expected for AEP's East Utilities. The threat area has been expanded to include all of AEP's East Utilities. Several disturbances traversing the top of a hot upper-level ridge will trigger the severe
weather.
The National Weather Service in Wilmington, Ohio, is predicting a Hazardous Weather Outlook for several counties in Ohio on Wednesday, June 12. This threat includes the potential for heavy rainfall, large hail, damaging winds and possibly isolated tornadoes. It is anticipated that this storm system will enter the area late this afternoon and early evening.
Mustard Seed Café, 562 N. Main St., Bluffton, will celebrate fathers on Saturday, June 15, from 5-8 p.m. with a special menu including New York strip steak, petite bacon-wrapped filet, shrimp scampi and seared chicken salad.
Dads will be offered a free dessert. Reservations for Saturday night are suggested and can be made by calling 567-226-1120 during regular business hours, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The café will offer its regular menu on Sunday, June 16 - no reservations needed.

This IS Bentley Road looking south to what would become the split interchange that was part of the first, two lane only Bluffton bypass.
The house at the right, unoccupied by then, stood at spot where Beaver Street came out to the Bentley Road. It was vacant then, already sold to the state for the highway project.
