Bluffton Family Recreation sign-up for U6 soccer is underway, according to Joseph Beagle, BFR director.
League play begins Tuesday, April 4, and continues until Thursday, May 4, with all games played at BFR, 215 Snider Road, Bluffton. Game times are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m.
Registration is available online at www.bfronline.com, or by CLICKING HERE. Cost is $60 for non-BFR members and $45 for BFR members. Deadline to register is Sunday, March 26.
Plans are underway for the 2017 Bluffton Arts and Crafts Show.
This is the 46th annual show with this year's event on Saturday, May 13, in downtown Bluffton.
In addition, the Bluffton Farmers' Market, in the Citizens National Bank parking lot, will take place on the morning of the show.
Arts and crafts vendor invitations are going out now. And, based upon last year's numbers, this year's show will have an anticipated 70-plus booths on Main Street, stretching along Main Street.
Bluffton University’s Camerata Singers will perform in a variety of locations during the group’s two mini-tours in March and April, including a concert in their home venue, Yoder Recital Hall.
At 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, the choir will perform at Bluffton University’s Yoder Recital Hall.

By now, I'm sure you have heard from various sources that the White House plans to balance the federal budget by eliminating several agencies, including the National Endowment for the Humanities, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
As I write, Congress is finalizing a budget for 2017, which includes a significant increase for NEH. However, we do anticipate that the President's budget proposal for 2018 will include proposals to defund these three agencies, among others.
