And is reopened with a new menu

The Mustard Seed Café, 562 N. Main St., has been rebranded and is now open as Mustard Seed Chop, according to owner Rhonda Moor.

Located in the former Akron, Canton and Youngstown Railroad depot, the Mustard Seed Café opened five years ago as a breakfast and lunch establishment.

Purchased in 2015 by Moor, executive chef, the café launched dinner and brunch menus. Recently, it closed for renovations and creation of a new concept and menu.

The result is that it is now an American Casual Chop House with a simpler décor and menu.

Beaverdam Church of Christ will hold a chicken and rib barbecue from 4 to 7 p.m., Saturday, May 12, at the church.

Chicken dinners are $8 and the rib dinners $11. Each dinner includes baked potato, green beans, and roll.

Eat In or drive thru. All money raised will go toward a wheel chair lift for the church bus. Contact 419-643-4301 for tickets.

The 17th annual Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) Service of Remembrance takes place at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 29, at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 120 W. Sandusky St., Findlay.

The non-denominational memorial service honors BVHS patients and residents who passed away in 2017. All are welcome to attend, which will be followed by a reception.
