Four-persons panel will make presentation

Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce members will hear updates from several community medical service providers at the Friday, June 8, chamber breakfast. The program is in a panel discussion format.

Deborah Ann Diller, 59, of Bluffton, died 5:55 p.m., June 2, 2018, at Bridge Hospice, Findlay after a four year battle with cancer. 

Deb was born July 4, 1958, in Bluffton to Richard L and Doris Jean (Dunlap) Ruebush. Her mother survives in Bluffton.  On Sept.27, 1986 she married Raymond D. Diller and he preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 2017. 

Deb worked at the First National Bank for 16 years.  She had also worked at Community Market, Bluffton.  Deb was a graduate of Bluffton High School.

Dorothy C. Montgomery, 91 of Ada, died June 1, 2018 at VanCrest of Ada.  Dorothy was born May 19, 1927, in Mt. Blanchard, Ohio, to the late Walter and Gail (Foreman) Gatchell.  On June 15, 1952, she married Robert Montgomery who preceded her in death on June 25, 2009.

Dorothy was a farm wife and had worked at Fiber's (now Findlay Industries).  She was a member of Bluffton Trinity United Methodist Church where she was active with the Ladies Missionary group.

BHS boys' 4x800 team latest in a long legacy of Pirates at the state meet

Note: the 4x800 relay team finished 17th on Friday at the state meet.

(COLUMBUS) - When Bluffton's 4x800 relay team sets foot in Jesse Owens Stadium Friday, the foursome of Baylor Garmatter, Luke Young, Asher Antrim and Simon Derstine will be the latest in a long legacy of Pirate athletes that have advanced to Columbus. 

Bluffton Hospital released its births from April 29 to the May 26. Here’s the list:

April 29 –Charles Benjamin Montgomery, son of Ben and Kristi Montgomery, Ada

May 4 – Mateo Douglas Rodriguez, son of Danielle Carpenter and Sebastian Rodriguez, Belmore

May 6 – Emma Rose, daughter of Whitney and Abigail, Bluffton

May 7 – Lincoln James, son of Kyle and Kristin, Gilboa

May 10 – Rebekah Margaret, daughter of Steve and Jaqueline, Sydney

May 10 – Hollie Lee Emery, daughter of Corey and Kayla Emery, Pandora
