Despite only leading the game for a total of 48 seconds, Cory Rawson pushed Bluffton to the limit Friday in the second game of the McDonald’s Holiday Tournament.
womeThe Bluffton University women's basketball team defeated Waynesburg by a score of 77-68 in their McDonald's Holiday Tournament opener on Friday, Dec. 28. The victory pushed the Beavers to 4-6 on the season, while Waynesburg dropped to 3-8 overall.
The Bluffton University men's basketball team was back in action on Friday, Dec. 28, after being off nearly two weeks for Christmas. Following the break, the Beavers took on Ohio Mid-Western in their first game of the McDonald's Holiday Tournament, downing the Lakers by a score of 83-64 on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018.
Special services will be held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera, to end 2018 and welcome 2019.
On Monday, Dec. 31, a New Year’s Eve service will begin at 7 p.m. with Pastor Al Schmitzer delivering the message. The New Year’s Day service on Tuesday, Jan. 1, led by Pastor Matt Nowak will begin at 9:30 a.m.

For Hannah McBride, a junior from Port Clinton, Ohio, there’s one part of Chapel she connects with the most. “I really like the music aspect of worship services,” explained McBride. “That’s when I feel the closest to God, and I realized I want to do that as a job.”
As Chapel worship coordinator at Bluffton University, she’s already getting the experience. The music ministry and worship arts double major schedules students to lead worship, often writes the benediction and sings with the praise band.
