“I’ll take a large container of popcorn with butter and a soft drink.”
You’ve not heard this request in Bluffton since mid-March.
You’ll hear in Friday, as the Shannon Theatre reopens, according to Pete Suter of the theater, in a reopening with two laid-back oldies but goodies “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” (1986) and “Kung Fu Panda” (2008).
Here’s the movie schedule with theatre guidelines:
• Evening shows are: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (PG-13)
Shows are every evening at 7 p.m. as well as on Friday and Saturday at 9:30 p.m.

FROM ADA ICON – Ada’s downtown retail centerpiece, Reichert’s clothing store, will close later this summer, says Fred Reichert, owner, who is retiring. For older Bluffton residents, Reichert’s is the “Geiger and Diller” of Ada.
It first opened in 1952 serving several generations of shoppers in its 68 years of existence.
The Ada men, women’s and youth’s clothing store is one of few remaining retail businesses of its type in small towns across northwestern Ohio, having battled the malls and online clothing giants.

“ Soon after the announcement a small group of people were able to cut gowns at the Ebenezer Mennonite Church, he added.
The gown pieces were assembled into kits and distributed for others to sew at their homes. MHCO has received 84 completed gowns and more are coming in each day.
