Available next week at Roots by Stratton's from Bluffton Bread Co.

The Bluffton Bread Company will sell a limited quantity of freshly-baked bread from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, and 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at Root’s by Strattons, 111 S. Main St. 

Staple breads are $8 and specialty loaves are $12. Cash or credit card will be accepted.

Flavors available on Nov. 25 include:
Pumpkin, $8
Sweet Potato Maple Praline, $12
Applesauce Oatmeal Cinnamon, $12

I’m currently considering some kind of crossover between computer science and aerospace. That’s bound to change in the coming years though, so I won’t be placing any bets on it right now

Icon: You graduated from Bluffton in 2019. What have you been doing since then?
I’ve been attending Cedarville University, pursuing a degree in computer science. I am a member of the SGA (Student Government Association), worship band, and work for the coffeeshop on campus.

Joan Frederick of 415 Boutique, 415 N. Main St., Bluffton, is offering a free graphic T-shirt when customers purchase $75 of regular-priced items. She says to hurry while the T-shirt supply lasts. 

Faith Investment Services recently acknowledged three long-time employees with longevity bonuses and gift baskets. 

The employees are, from left, Kathi Dunlap with 12 years of service, Lynda Rodabaugh with 9 years of service, and Renea Zimmerman with 5 years of service. 

Owner Gary Reese and his wife, Shannon, presented the awards this week, "As an expression of thankfulness for the faithfulness of these staff members and for God’s provision."

Mary Joyce (Traucht) Beagle, 79, of Arlington died at her residence on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020, surrounded by her family.  

She was born on Dec. 15, 1940, at Bluffton Community Hospital to the late LeRoy and Ruth E. (Rossman) Traucht. She married Jerry L. Beagle on June 15, 1958, at Good Hope Lutheran Church, Arlington, and he survives.

However, Democrats saw gains over Trump from 2016 to 2020

The 2020 Bluffton and Richland Township votes for president varied little from 2016.

However 2020 - compared to 2016 -  saw a decreased in votes for Trump and an increase in votes for the Democrat candidate.

Riley Creek United Methodist Church, 7102 Road M, Ottawa, will conduct a drive-up, drop-off food drive on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Drivers will not need to leave their vehicles. Volunteers will collect the items and put them on a truck for delivery to the food pantries.

University gospel choir and jazz concert streaming live

Bluffton University’s fall gospel choir and jazz concert will be streamed for viewing at www.bluffton.edu/mus starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21.
