BLUFFTON - The host Bluffton boys basketball team outscored Continental 29-10 Tuesday night en route to a convincing 68-40 win.
The non-league game was scheduled after Continental was set to compete in the annual four-team Bluffton McDonald's Holiday Tournament, which was cancelled.
The host Pirates led just 19-18 after a high-scoring first period behind Kyler Kinn's eight points. Bluffton extended the margin to 39-30 at intermisson as Trenton Donley drained two second-quarter triples.

KENTON - The visiting Bluffton girls basketball team dominated the middle quarters and rallied to defeat Kenton 56-47 in a non-league battle Monday night.
The Lady Pirates trailed 19-13 after one period of play as the Wildcat girls drained three trifectas.
But Bluffton came back with a 15-8 second quarter to grab a 28-27 edge at halftime. The victors extended the margin to nine points heading to the final stanza with a 13-5 third period.

"I started teaching in Bluffton schools in 1951-52. I taught fourth grade and in my first class there were 41 children. The room I had in the old grade school had only windows in the back. With 41 children, the room was crammed full. The rest rooms were in the basement.
