HARDIN COUNTY__Weather conditions have helped Ohio wheat fields mature a little early this year – but these same conditions can lead to an increase in fires to combine harvesters and crop fields. Unintentional fires are never an enjoyable event. Two recommendations to prevent injuries and property damage include preventative maintenance and pre-planning for fire emergencies.
The Village of Bluffton is compiling an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan. Public involvement is encouraged by The Village of Bluffton through written comments and/or attendance at the Village Council meetings.
A presentation of the ADA Transition Plan will be held on Monday, July 8 at 7:00 p.m. during a regularly scheduled council meeting, which is always held at this time on the second and fourth Monday of each month at the Bluffton Town Hall, located at 154 N. Main Street, Bluffton, Ohio 45817.
This and all meetings are open to the public. The ADA Transition Plan will be presented by a representative from the Lima-Allen County Regional Planning Commission.

The idiom “sweet tooth” describes an individual who craves chocolate, candies, cake, cookies or sweet desserts. Healthcare professionals including dentists warn of the dangers of too much sugar. On June 25, The Dough Hook Meat Market, 117 N. Main, Bluffton, was among grant recipients announced by American Express and Main Street America in the Backing Small Businesses Grant Program.
The ACPH requests that local residents take part in its community survey, with the deadline for participation on Sunday, June 30.
Answers are confidential and will help identify opportunities to improve health in the community. Organizers note, "The ACPH greatly appreciates your willingness to participate and value your input immensely."
