The Bluffton council's Insurance Committee will meet Monday, June 11, at 7:30 p m. in the town hall, according to Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator.
Alice I. Wingate, 92, of Bluffton died at 5:40 a.m. June 1, 2012, at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was born Nov. 24, 1919, in Putnam County to Clarence and Esther Slusser Jones. On Oct. 4, 1940, she married Paul R. Wingate and he preceded her in death on March 1, 2006.
Mrs. Wingate was a homemaker and retired from the Bluffton High School Cafeteria after 16 years and had worked at Triplett Corp., Bluffton. She was a member of Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton and the Bluffton Senior Citizens. She was a graduate of Bluffton High School.

Bluffton University has announced reductions in employment levels effective July 1.
"These reductions are in response to Bluffton's need to operate on a somewhat smaller scale which is in better alignment with current enrollment," President James M. Harder said. "These are difficult decisions because they affect members of this community whose work has been important to the university and who are our colleagues and friends."
