Maple Crest cooking class Feb. 10 stresses meals for 1 or 2
Maple Crest Senior Living Village is offering a cooking class to learn the basic "how to's" of preparing meals for one or two people.
The class is at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 604 Crimson Maple Court at Maple Crest.
Some of the examples discussed include paring back recipes, buying ingredients in smaller quantities, etc.) that can save time and money.
"You will see and taste delicious examples of quick and easy meals that you can prepare in 30 minutes or less that will impress your family and friends," according to Julie Stratton. "Plus, see how having the right "tools" such as; utensils, cookware, food preparation products, can save you time and energy and make meal preparation easier and more enjoyable."
The class will be taught by Terza Mason, who has been cooking since she was about 9. She went to cooking school in the early '80s and was also taught by excellent family cooks. She calls herself "a kitchen gadget junkie" so it was natural for her become a Pampered Chef Senior Consultant. She also does small catering and private cooking classes.
Limited spaces are available. Maple Crest is located at 700 Maple Crest Court, off Augsburger Road in Bluffton. For more information and to save your space please call 419-369-4715.
