Leaf pickup update:The village will continue to pick up leaves through Wednesday, Dec. 4.
Lots of financial matters make up Bluffton council's agenda tonight.
For starters, council will hear an update on 2020 airport planning. The Bluffton Airport Commission met Nov. 19. Among discussion points includes taxiway rehabilitation to be presented to the FAA next year. The village share of the estimated $600,000 project is $30,000.

The Blaze of Light is much more than a one-night stand. It continues through new year's eve. One of the important off-site elements is the Gift of Giving light show in the Harmon Field parking lot. That impressive show opens to the public Saturday evening and runs nightly during December.

Bluffton Blaze of Lights a growing tradition
Saturday's Blaze of Lights Festival draws families and friends off the couch and away from screens large and small to enjoy a festive day in downtown Bluffton.
The 33rd annual celebration is expected to draw several thousand people to the village, according to Paula Scott, CEO of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce.
Bluffton’s shops, restaurants and festival vendors are ready to keep visitors busy, warm, and well-fed.

Darrell Elden White, 86, died Nov. 24, 2019, at Hilty Memorial Home in Pandora. Darrell was born April 6, 1933, in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, to the late Richard and Gertrude Louise (Hughes) White. On Feb. 4, 1956, he married H. Patricia (Witherup) White and she preceded him in death on May 29, 1976. He later married Mary Linn (Kempf) White on Sept. 24, 1983, and she survives in Pandora.

Et Cetera Shop, 327 N. Main St., Bluffton, invites Icon viewers to a Cookie Walk, from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 30.
Fill your plate with cookies. Cookies will be weighed at $10 per pound. One half of the proceeds go to the Bluffton Community Assistance food pantry; the other half goes to Mennonite Central Committee's "Baking for a better future" projec.

The team went 12-8. Less then 10 points would have given BHS an NWC title. Games were played in the old BHS gym.
