Winter programs begin soon at BFR
Youth Programs
The seven-week, winter session of youth programs begins the week of Jan. 10, according to Carole Enneking, BFR director.
Class options for elementary age youth include: basketball (Thursday 3:30 PM), Football (Tuesday 3:30PM), Dodgeball (Fridays 3:30 PM), Soccer (Mondays for U10 players and Thursdays for U7 players), and Volleyball Skills (Wednesday 3:30 PM).
Basketball Skills and Scrimmages (boys and girls in grades 3, 4, 5) will be held for 5 weeks on Thursdays at 4:30 PM. Pre-school options include All Sports which is now scheduled for Tuesdays 11AM and Tiny Tots on Wednesdays at 10 AM.
BFR Swim lessons will resume Jan. 13 at the Comfort Inn; classes are scheduled for infants through youth in grade 4. Contact BFR Sports and Fitness, 419-358-4150 or the website www.bfronline.com for prices and to register. Van Service is available to Bluffton students for an additional $5 fee.
FIT4LIFE
If you are an adult who needs direction and support in losing weight and maintaining a health lifestyle, BFR's Fit4Life program may be the answer.
Fit4Life includes a 3-month BFR membership, Any Class Fitness Card, Personal Training sessions and topical group meetings for a fee of $105. Each participant will have an individualized workout routine that is increased every two weeks to build to a higher level of fitness.
Fit4Life can be modified for almost any fitness level (doctor's permission may be required for some participants). New this winter, Fit4Life participants may begin their program at any time rather than beginning on
a specific date. A registration packet must be completed prior to the start of the program.
Ultimate Fit Group Seeks New Class Members
BFR's high-end fitness program has openings for new members for the evening session. The format of Ultimate Fit is similar to the PX90 and Cross Fit programs that combine strength training and cardio for a challenging group workout. The evening session meets on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 7-7:45 PM.
Under the direction of a BFR staff trainer, Ultimate Fit fees are $60 ($35BFR) for the 12 workouts during the

Group Fitness Classes Resume at BFR
Add a group fitness class to your fitness routine this winter; daytime, evening and weekend options exist. Choices include aerobics (low impact as well as moderate impact) , Yogafit TM, Zumba TM, Water Exercise, Strength
and Flexibility, Total Body Conditioning, and Noon Circuit. New participants are welcome to tryout any class without charge.
BFR classes do not require pre-registration, participants can switch between classes at any time or attend one consistently. Fees for classes are $5 ($3BFR) per session, or purchase an Any Class Card for multiple visits at reduced rates.
Adult Coed Volleyball League
BFR will sponsor a Coed volleyball league (Jan. 27 to Feb. 26) during the Keeping Active Campaign. Match play will be scheduled from 7-10 PM on Thursdays; a free practice session will be held on Thursday, Jan. 20. Team fee is only $60; registration is required by January 20. Contact BFR to register a team.
Family Open Play Available on Wednesday and Friday Mornings
Young children and their parents/caregivers are welcome to drop in for any of the BFR Open Play sessions from 11 AM-noon on Wednesday and Fridays.
Open Play is held in the BFR arena and features a variety of sport and movement equipment. Open Play is a great way for parents to visit while children play. Cost is only $1 per child (free for BFR members); no registration is required.
BFR Offers Membership Price Reduction in January
New and renewing memberships will see a price discount through Jan. 30, 2011. Save $5 on single month or 3 month memberships, $10 on 6 month, Junior Youth, Sr. Youth and Sr. Adult memberships, save $15 on Adult or
Single Parent Family memberships, and save $20 on Family memberships.
The special pricing is designed to encourage more people to get in better shape for the New Year. These discounts will apply with corporate group discounts and early renewal pricing, as well. Membership includes full use of the facility (fitness center for those over 14 years of age.
