Rhythm In Motion Dance Centre' brings home 9 awards from competition
Rhythm In Motion Dance Centre' participated in their first dance competition of the 2011 dance season on March 5 at Encore Talent Productions, Columbus. The group of 14 dancers brought home nine awards, including three Overall Awards and one Judge's Choice Award.
Boogie Fever, directed by Darcey Schneider, danced by RIMDC Petite Team of ages 5-7 received a High Gold, 5th place overall. Performer Evelynn Schneider from the Petite Team received a special Judges' Award, Most Photogenic of the 2011 Columbus Competition.
Dynamite, directed by Jocelyn Sherman, danced by nine dancers from the Teen group, received a High Silver award. Erica Stoner performed her first solo to Kiss From a Rose, directed by Tiffany Rumschlag, and received a High Silver.
The Teen group performed a tap dance to Footloose, directed by Darcey Schneider, and received a Gold, 3rd place overall. RIMDC finished the day with a tap dance to Trouble, directed by Darcey Schneider, by four Teen dancers and received a High Gold, 5th place overall in the competitive level.
Rhythm In Motion Dance Centre is located at 222 N. Main St. Ada, and is an advertiser on The Bluffton Icon.

Dancers attend Bath, Ada, Bluffton, Upper Scioto Valley and Bellefontaine Schools. Dances range in age from 5 to 16.
