Still time to join Birdies for Bookworms Golf Scramble June 4
Love to golf? Love your library?
Put the two together and you get the Birdies for Bookworms Golf Scramble on Saturday, June 4. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Bluffton Public Library and offers many fun ways to support the local library.
Golfers can join Mayor Fred Rodabaugh for a scramble event at the Bluffton Golf Club including cart, continental breakfast and lunch for $50.
There will also be a skins game, a putting contest, proximity prizes and door prizes for golfers. Participants are asked to register by May 25 at the Bluffton Public Library. On the day of the event, registration will begin at 8 a.m. with the shotgun start at 9 a.m.
Birdies for Bookworms supports literacy and lifelong learning in Bluffton and will help the Bluffton Public Library weather a more than 30 percent reduction in state funding.
Registration forms for the golf outing are available at the library and at blufftonpubliclibrary.org.
