Bettye Jeanne Vroman 1921-2011
Bettye Jeanne Vroman, 90, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at Sunset Village in Sylvania.
The daughter of Robert and Rowena [Herr] Lewis, she was born Aug. 6, 1921, in Bluffton. She was a graduate of Bluffton High School and Bluffton College where she majored in Music and English. She taught Music and English at the high school level for several years.
She married Robert Vroman in 1948 and moved to Toledo where he purchased a small ice cream company. She was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church and the Inverness Club.
Jeanne was an accomplished pianist and talented singer.
She is survived by daughters Cynthia "CJ" Vroman, Carol (Cary) Loos; grandchildren, Adam and Samuel Loos.
She was preceded in death by her husband. There will be no visitation and services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Paws & Whiskers Cat Shelter, 32 Hillwyck Toledo, OH 43615.
