Bluffton Lions Foundation recognizes volunteers in Corvette raffle
The Bluffton Lions Foundation officials presented a program recognizing Charity Corvette Raffle event volunteers, shared results of the 2011 raffle and planning information about the 2012 event on Oct. 18.
The back drop for the picture is the actual sponsor banner displayed over the top of the Corvette. The sponsors are Tom Ahl Family of Dealerships, Arby's Restaurants, Colonial Surface Solutions, Don Snyder Excavating Unlimited, Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bud's Chevrolet-Corvette, Ken Lugibihl Auto & Truck Center and Masterpiece Signs & Graphics.
The following volunteers were recognized for their involvement with the Corvette transportation team are Lions Ed Yeager who is the team leader and drivers, John Rich, Bill Croft, Bob Harris, Arliss Plaugher and Daryl Shields, Bob Amstutz, Mark Alliman, Denny Morrison, Barbara Plaugher and Sam Reineke.
Six teams composed two individuals make up each team. The teams covered over 55 events. The round trip mile from Bluffton ranged between 6 to 110 miles.
"Many volunteer hours have been given by this dedicated group of Lions," said Ramseyer. "They truly are examples of the Lions motto, "We Serve."
