SHANNON Club presents two $750 scholarships
The S.H.A.N.N.O.N. Service Club presented its annual "Service to Humanity" Scholarship Awards at the Bluffton High School 32nd annual awards program on May 16, according to Duane Bollenbacher of the club.
The club provided two $750 scholarships. Winners were seniors Hanne` Burkholder (left) and Kaitlin Thompson (right), each of whom was chosen by virtue of her past, current, and expected future commitment to serving others.
Hanne` is the daughter of Steve and Laurel Burkholder and plans to study speech pathology at Kent State University.
Kaitlin is the daughter of Bob and Denise Thompson and will study rehab counseling at Grace College, Winona Lake, Indiana.
Bollenbacher presented the awards.
