The Bluffton Icon welcomes two new bloggers to its site.

Lyle Arnold's blog is "Dugoutsteps."

He describes his blog and himself this way:

Being born in the country, just outside of Beaverdam, I had ample opportunity to play outside. This helped lead to my love of baseball. It also helped that my brother, Mark, became my Little League baseball coach. We didn't have a great team in Beaverdam, but we did
have a lot of fun.

School will be in session Monday, Feb. 21

The winter weather forced changes in the Bluffton school calendar. According to Greg Denecker, superintendent, the school has used its three cancellation days. It may need to make up two days.

Monday, Feb. 21, President's Day, originally a no-school day, will now be a school in-session day.

Denecker said that the Ohio legislature may act this month on extending from three to five the number of weather cancellation days allowed this year, because of this year's unusual weather patterns.
