Rhythm in Motion Dance Centre open house Aug. 3
Rhythm in Motion Dance Centre, 220 N. Main St., Ada, will host its 7th annual open house on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to Darcey Schneider, studio owner.
Taking place will be registration for fall classes, fitted for your dance shoes, purchase and shop for new dance attire, bags, and more, according to Schneider. There will be free giveaways.
Free classes week of Aug. 5
Rhythm In Motion Dance Centre will offer free classes the week of Aug. 5. These classes are open to the community for youth 18 months to age 18. It's a great way for our studio to kick off our 2013-2014 season and there is no need to be pre-registered for fall classes.
Director Darcey Schneider and staff members Liz Coulston and Erica Stoner will teach classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hop hop, lyrica and tumbling.
Schneider said: "Our highly trained and certified staff will be reaching out not only to our current registered students, but young people of our community. There is no cost, but an adult must be present to sign a participation waiver.
"We have beautifully renovated space that allows the children and young adults to be creative and be a part of something great and positive. Our dancers at Rhythm In Motion really do share a strong bond and create friendships that are lasting a lifetime."
Other opportunities
RIMDC also provides rar opportunities for youth. RIMDC students perform at an NBA basketball game, and last season a group traveled to Tampa, Fla., and performed at the Outback Bowl Game.
