Most Bluffton AEP Ohio electric customers will become Firstenergy Solutions Corp customers in September
Confused by the Aug. 19 letter you may have received from AEP Ohio? Don't be.
Most Bluffton AEP Ohio users received the letter informing them that a switch is being made from AEP to Firstenergy Solutions Corp. as their new electricity supplier.
The switch enables group buying power for the purchase of competitively-priced electricity. Persons who received the letter did so because they chose not to switch to an alternative power company earlier this year. By not switching on their own, they automatically became Firstenergy Solutions Corp. customers.
Here’s more background on the switch:
Village of Bluffton’s voters passed the governmental aggregation issue on the March 2012 ballot. The village has elected to join the government electrical aggregation program managed by the County Commissioners Association of Ohio and officially named the Allen County Commissioners as the aggregators on behalf of the Village of Bluffton in order to do so.
