Next BFR Fit4Life Support Group starts Jan. 6
For Icon viewers who are not interested in web or app-based weight loss options, BFR’s Fit4Life Support Group offers face-to-face connections, according to Carole Enneking, BFR director.
The Fit4Life Support Group meets the first and third Monday evenings (5:30-6 PM) for either a nutrition-based or activity session. Deb Hohenbrink and Amy Byers (BFR certified trainer) lead the program. Group members are encouraged to weigh-in weekly at BFR as well. The combination of group meetings and accountability of weekly weigh-ins may be the key to maintaining (or attaining) a healthy body image.
Twelve persons have been participating since early September and many have seen changes to body weight. New participants are welcome at anytime by registering at BFR or attending one of the group sessions. The next session will be held on Monday, Jan 6. Cost is $20 per month ($10BFR members).
Another weight loss option is the Fit4Life Membership Package at BFR. This six-week membership package includes weekly meetings with a staff trainer, plus weekly weigh-ins, free fitness classes, and lots of exercise support.
Those participating in the membership package will also receive 6 weeks of Fit4Life Support Group meetings. Since this membership is individual (not group based as in the past), participants of any age and physical condition are welcome.
BFR staff trainers will work with each member to develop a challenging (yet safe) work-out program using the BFR fitness center and/or home-based exercise. Cost for the Fit4Life Membership package is $76.68; this package is available anytime of the year.
For more information about the Fit4Life programs, contact BFR by calling 419-358-4150, visiting the facility located at 215 Snider Road inBluffton, or visiting the website www.bfronline.com.
