Rally Point River Ride Aug. 9 in Lima
The 6th annual Rally Point River Ride takes place in Lima Saturday, Aug. 9.
Many families with young children come to particapate in the 20-mile ride based off the Rotary River Walk in Lima. Young bikers and parents with trailers take off from Heritage Park for a 10-mile ride to Ottawa Metro Park.
After the ride, children and parents can enjoy lunch, live music, and have fun in the Kid's Zone. The 20-mile ride is designed for families to enjoy riding together while experiencing Lima's parks and bike path.
The cost is $35 per rider or $75 per family (which includes up to five lunches and two t-shirts). Same day registration is available. All proceeds from the Rally Point River Ride go to support the Rally Point Youth Center of Lima.
For riders that want more of a challenge, there are 50 and 62.5 mile rides that wind through country roads along many scenic creeks.
Riders will receive a free t-shirt, rest stops with drinks and snack, lunch, live music and free recovery massage. For more information you can go online at www.rallyup.org.
