Donferd Nussbaum was a Bluffton College graduate
Donferd D. Nussbaum , 78, of Akron, Pa., died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2014, at a nursing facility in New Jersey.
He was born in Dalton, Ohio, to the late Noah and Agnes Nussbaum and was the
husband to the late Frances M. (Mauger) Nussbaum with whom he shared 46 years
of marriage.
Mr. Nussbaum was a graduate of Bluffton College and Bowling Green University going
on to become a certified public accountant serving the Reading, and greater Lancaster County area. He was a member of the Akron Mennonite Church and the Akron Lions Club.
He is survived by a son, Eric D., of Freehold, N.J., and a daughter Kristen L.(Nussbaum) Zehr, wife of Merle Zehr, of York Springs, six grandchildren, and two sisters; Hazel (Nussbaum) Himes, and Karen (Nussbaum) Jao, of Taipae, Taiwan.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 11 am, at the Akron Mennonite Church, Akron.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Nussbaum's name can be made to
Akron Mennonite Church College Scholarship Fund, 1311 Diamond Street, Akron,
PA. 17501.
