Council, township have Nov. 3 election races

Bluffton voters have decisions to make on Tuesday, Nov. 3. As the day of the general election, here's what's on the various local ballots.

Polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

46th annual missions fest' at Ebenezer Nov. 15-22

The 46th Annual Missions Festival at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton, will feature L.T. Jeyachandran as speaker for both Sundays.

The conference will be held Nov. 15 through Nov. 22. L.T. Jeyachadran is the missions director for the Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, Singapore. He is a well-known Bible expositor and a student of theology and comparative religions. He is a civil engineer and is from Tamil Nadu, South India.

When did you move to Bluffton? When did you graduate from high school?

My family moved to Bluffton in August of 1985. We moved into our house just two or three days before I started the third grade. I graduated from BHS in 1995.

What are your favorite memories of your school years in Bluffton?

Elizabeth Fields 1909- 2009

Elizabeth Fields

Elizabeth I. Fields, 100, of Bluffton and formerly of Mt. Cory died at 5:45 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton.

She was born on July 7, 1909, in Mt. Cory to William and Sophia (Fox) Falk. On July 22, 1934, she married James A. Fields in Clay County, Arkansas, and he passed away Sept. 25, 1991.
