Everett earns third straight HCAC POTW award

BLUFFTON, Ohio - For the third straight week and fourth time in the last five weeks, sophomore standout Trey Everett (Sidney/Fairlawn) was named the Heartland Conference Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week. It marks the sixth time that Everett has taken home this honor in 2015, including four outdoor field athlete of the week awards in the last five weeks and two during the indoor season!
The sophomore won the high jump with a school record leap of 6’ 10.25”, improving his own HCAC-best mark on the season. Everett also tested his talent in a new event, placing third in the triple jump with a new school record and HCAC-best mark of 45’ 7.25”. Everett's triple jump eclipsed a school record that had been in place since 1984!
The Beavers travel to Transylvania University to compete in the HCAC Conference Championship Friday and Saturday, April 24-25 where Everett will look to defend his high jump and long jump titles in Lexington, Ky.
