Here's how the club describes the event: "The barbecue is eat-in or carry-out (delivered to your car). It is provided by Ted's Market, Pandora. Tickets are on sale at available at Greg's Pharmacy, Senior Citizen Center, Polished, any S.H.A.N.N.O.N. member, or call Joan Steiner at 419-358-0486.
"The barbecue includes one-half chicken, baked potato, green beans, and roll with butter.
"A barbecue ticket gives you free admission to the garage sale on Friday. All proceeds used locally through scholarships, needy families at Christmas and to persons who need an extra helping hand. Donations go to several community projects and organizations.”
"S.H.A.N.N.O.N. stands for Sharing Hopes And Nourishing Needs Of Neighbors. Booths are rented to individual sellers at The Centre, so items in the sale very depending on the sellers.
For booth space call: 419-233-2757
For barbecue tickets call: 419-358-0486
An additional fund-raiser is a 25/75 drawing. It will help defray medical and other costs that Deb Bollenbacher has experienced during her illness of Transverse Myelitis (inflammation of the spinal cord). Deb and her husband, Duane, are co-founders of the S.H.A.N.N.O.N. club.
Tickets for the drawing are sold during the weekend and the drawing is at 11:30 a.m., Saturday.

Tonya Meyers, Center director, explains it this way: "The Bluffton Senior Center collects donations from its members and people in the community and then holds a large garage sale once a year as a fundraiser.
"Things collected include household items and collectables as many of the members are downsizing. There’s no clothing or shoes but you will find toys, games, athletic equipment and craft supplies as well as kitchen wares and bed and bath items.
