High Intensity Interval Training at BFR
High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) classes begin on Monday, June 5, at Bluffton Family Recreation.
Matt Gillett leads the sessions that take place at 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays at BFR, 215 Snider Road, Bluffton.
The first two weeks are free.
Classes include a series of high intensity workshops that burn more fat quickly in a shorter time, according to Gillett.
The classes are for persons who require advanced training in this area.
HIIT benefits include, getting more with less (improving endurance), a healthier heart, lower blood pressure, and boost of growth hormones.
Gillett is BFR's sports coordinator and personal trainer. Gillett is a Bluffton High School graduate Anderson University graduate with degree in exercise science.
In his role as a personal trainer he assists persons of all ages to focus on fitness goals. He also leads agility clinics with middle school and high school athletes.
