Sprunger Insurance Agency purchases Swiss Mutual Agency
Sprunger Insurance Agency of Pandora has purchased Swiss Mutual Insurance Agency of Bluffton, according to Nathan Sprunger, owner of Sprunger Insurance.
“We are excited to have a greater presence in Bluffton. This is a great opportunity and we look forward to becoming part of the Bluffton business community,” said Sprunger.
Sprunger Insurance brings Western Reserve Group and Safeco Insurance into the companies already offered by Swiss Mutual. The current companies represented include Goodville Mutual, Progressive, Wayne Insurance Group, Mennonite Mutual Aid Society and Mennonite Mutual Insurance Company.
“We offer auto, home, farm, church, business and life insurance,” said Sprunger, who is licensed in property, casualty and life insurance.
Nathan graduated from Pandora-Gilboa High School in 1989 and the University of Findlay in 1993, with a degree in business administration.
His father, Jimmie, purchased the former Pandora Insurance Agency from Hiram Diller in 1982. Growing up in an insurance family, Nathan started working with his father while he was in college. In February 2012 Nathan purchased the Sprunger agency from his father.
Employees of the agency and licensed agents are Sue Osborne, Jessica Liedtke and Christy Diller.
Hours for the Bluffton and Pandora offices will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and Saturdays by appointment. The Pandora office is located at 114 E. Main Street, and can be reached by telephone at 419-384-3286. Bluffton’s office location will remain the same at 208 S. Main Street, and the phone number at 419-358-7585.
Sprunger will host an open house on Friday, August 25, at the Bluffton office.
Nathan and his wife, Izzy, are parents of three daughters, Ashley, Audrey and Autumn.
