Women's Soccer drops 4-0 decision at MSJ

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's soccer team struggled to generate offense in a 4-0 loss to Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017. MSJ improved to 12-2 overall and 3-1 in the Heartland Conference, while the Beavers slipped to 2-10 and 1-3 in the HCAC.
Mount St. Joseph went up 1-0 midway through period one before tacking on three tallies in the second half en route to the convincing victory.
The Lions piled up a 25-2 advantage in shots, including 11-1 on frame. Bluffton was whistled for one more foul (5-4) but the home team forced all six corner kicks in the match. Sienna Sullivan (Columbus/Hilliard Davidson) finished with seven saves for the visitors.
Bluffton returns to the Sears Complex for a 1 p.m. meeting with the Hanover College Panthers on Saturday, Oct. 14. Come out and support your Beavers!
