Three new teaching contracts offered for 2019-20
Three new teachers were offered contracts for the 2019-20 school year during the April 15 Bluffton school board meeting.
One-year contracts were offer to:
• Jacob Allton, middle school math
$38,755, 150 hours, Step 0
• Nicole Winhover, middle school science
$40,729, BA, Step 3
• Brooke Unterbrink, first grade
(additional first grade teacher due to larger class coming next year)
$38,755, 150-hours, Step 0
Winhover replaces Sue Epp who is retiring at the end of this school year.
Greg Denecker, superintedent, told the Icon that the new middle school teachers may teach some other subjects as well, as the schedule for next year is not yet finalized.
Sixteen certified contracts, seven classified contracts and several extended and supplemental contracts were also approved. Those contract terms are in the board agenda attached at the bottom of this story.
And, elementary, middle school and high school fees and handbooks for next year were approved.
