It's U6 soccer and 3rd-4th grade volleyball time
Bluffton Family Recreation is now accepting registrations for its fall U6 soccer leagues, and its third and fourth grade developmental volleyball leagues, according to Amy Byers, BFR sports coordinator.
Registration deadline for both is Monday, Aug. 17. Click here to register.
“BFR is working hard to stay up to date with the current protocols to provide a safe opportunity for young athletes to participate in their favorite sports,” Byers added.
U6 soccer
U6 soccer is for boys and girls ages 4-6. Games are played on the BFR lawn on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m. The league begins Tuesday, Sept. 1, and ends Thursday, Oct. 1.
Players will need to provide their own size 3 soccer ball this year due to COVID-19 protocols.
Volleyball
Byers explained that the third and fourth 3rd and 4th grade volleyball is an introduction to volleyball where young athletes learn the fundamentals of the game.
Practices are either Tuesdays at 4 p.m. or Thursday at 7 p.m. (your choice).
Games are Saturday mornings beginning Saturday, Sept. 5, continuing through Saturday, Oct. 3.
Players will need to provide their own volley lite ball this year due to COVID 19 protocols.
Both sports are managed through volunteer coaches. BFR is interested in talking to persons who might assist in coaching.
Contact Byers at BFR, 215 Snider Road, 419-358-4150, for more information.
