Bluffton Family Recreation is busy concluding summer programming while getting ready for the fall. Here's what coming:
Club BFR
This after-school program is for 5 to 12-year-olds and takes place from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Busing from the elementary to BFR is part of the program. The cost is $40 for members and $80 for non-members. A youth’s one-month membership is $20.
First-ever virtual 5K
BFR’s first-ever virtual 5K is Saturday, Sept. 5. Individual runners and entire families can go the distance while staying socially distant. Runners may participate from anywhere. Registration includes a shirt and prizes awarded for:
• Best Route
• Best Dressed
• Family Fun
Adult coed volleyball
BFR launches its adult coed volleyball league with games on Sundays from 1-5 p.m. Teams need to have three females on the court at all times. Players must be over 18. Cost is $150 per team. Play begins Sept. 13 and continues for five weeks.
Fortnite week – final week
Kid's summer camp
Monday to Friday, Aug. 17 to 21
Games are strategy-based and involve building forts, team communication and skill. Games include capture the flag, Nerf gun battles, dodgeball (team based and battle royale).
7:30 - 9:30 a.m. Pre-camp
9:30 a.m. -3:30 p.m. - Traditional camp
3:30-5:30 p.m. - Post camp
Lunch:
Bluffton Hospital will provide lunch for all campers on
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
