Fortman Insurance Services moving to 138 N. Main
Fortman Insurances Services, 115 N. Main St., Bluffton is relocating to 138 N. Main St.
With a home office in Ottawa, the agency opened a Bluffton office in July of 2011, which now has four licensed agents.
Its Bluffton phone number will remain 419-358-4600, as will its hours: Mondays through Fridays 8 a.m. to 5. p.m. and evenings and weekends by appointment.
In making the moving announcement, the Fortman family expressed appreciation to the Bluffton community for welcoming it as part of the local community.
John Fortman started Fortman Insurance Services in November 1978, and his wife, Catherine, joined him in 1982. Its Ottawa office is on State Route 65, Ottawa. A 2004 addition doubled the size of the building.
Jonathan Fortman joined the business in 2003, and is a licensed health and life agent. He works with individuals and businesses and assists with their group medical insurance and ancillary coverages.
The health and life agents working with him are Laurie Basinger, Beth Siefker, Megan Hohman, Lynn Hovest, Catherine Fortman and Kelsey Rau. The department also specializes in all types of Medicare products, individual major medical plans (ACA), long-term care, life insurance and vision and dental plans.
Zachary Fortman joined the business in 2010 as a licensed property and casualty agent. Other property and casualty agents are John Fortman, Amy Baker, Maria Santomieri, Annissa Hoyt, Betty Wagner and Josh Buckland.
Fortman Insurance Services specializes in farm, home, renter's, vehicle, commercial, Medicare products, life, individual and group health and ancillary coverages.
Over the last 42 years, Fortman Insurance has grown to 14 licensed agents. All agents reside in and around the Ottawa and the Bluffton area.
Fortman Insurance Services is involved throughout the community with the American Cancer Society, United Way, Putnam County Thrift Store, Challenged Champions and many other fundraisers, benefits and community projects.
