Wanda Geiger was a missionary in France for 40 years
Wanda Marie Geiger, 91, died April 25, 2021, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. Wanda was born July 9, 1929, in Bluffton to the late Eldon and Grace (Lora) Tschiegg. On August 3, 1951, she married Wallace Geiger and he survives.
Wanda graduated from Bluffton High School and Grace Bible Institute in Omaha, Nebraska. She had been a homemaker and was a missionary in France with her husband in France for 40 years. Wanda was a member of St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora. She enjoyed entertaining and treating her guests with French cuisine. Wanda was known for her dessert - "The Floating Island."
Survivors include her husband, Wallace Geiger of Pandora; three children, Nancy (J. Rob) Bromhead of Clifton, Virginia, Craig (Kathy) Geiger of St. Charles, Illinois, Philip (Su) Geiger of Londonderry, New Hampshire; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Tschiegg of Louisville, Kentucky and a sister-in-law, Alice Tschiegg-Bloom of Ohio.
Wanda was preceded in death by two brothers, Allan Tschiegg and David Tschiegg.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 30, at St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora. Pastor Paul Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Mennonite Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 - 11 a.m. at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Mennonite Church Mission Fund.
