Jackie Williams was a former commander of Ada VFW post
Jackie Williams, 72, died on Sunday, May 30, 2021, at 9:10 a.m. at his residence in Ada.
He was born on July 23, 1948, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Harry and Marguerite “Maggie” (McElroy) Williams. Jackie was previously married to Melanie Jettinghoff.
Jackie retired from Durez in Kenton. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He was a life member and former post commander of the Ada VFW Post #9381.
He is survived by his two daughters: Kelly (Jason) Kloeppel of Ada and Holly (Seth) Krofft of Ada; four grandchildren: Blake, Morgan, Jackson and Colby; a great grandchild, Payton; two brothers: Tom (Jean) Williams of Ada and Neil (Keitha) Williams of Ada; and two sisters: Linda Cheney of Ada and Robin (Mike) Romick of Bluffton.
Jackie was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Williams; and two sisters: Pat Morrison and Cricket Mefford.
It was his wish to be cremated. A private family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Ada VFW Post #9381, 2147 State Route 235, Ada, Ohio 45810.
