At the Bluffton Hospital Founding Mothers Dedication Wall

Butterflies fill up a wall just outside the maternity area at Bluffton Hospital. The wall is all about honoring mothers.

The Founding Mothers Wall provides an opportunity for area residents to honor or remember their mother or someone else’s mother, says Sophie Miller, development associate of the Blanchard Valley Health Foundation.

Will commemorate hospice patients

The Blanchard Valley Health Foundation, in collaboration with Bluffton Hospital and Bridge Home Health & Hospice, divisions of Blanchard Valley Health System, recently designated a memorial wall in Bluffton Hospital to commemorate those who have received hospice care at the facility.

The first plaque was purchased by Bill Watkins, former president and chief administrative officer of Bluffton Hospital and Blanchard Valley Medical Practices, and his siblings to memorialize their mother, Helen.

If you or your child suffers from spring allergy symptoms, you may want to consider prevention tactics. Allergen avoidance and allergy medications are the first steps in managing allergies. If these are not completely providing symptom relief, or you prefer minimizing long-term medication use, consider allergy immunotherapy (IT).
