The Library’s next meeting of the adult book discussion group is Wednesday, Sept. 4, at noon, and will be discussing "The Huntress" by Kate Quinn. The meeting includes a special visit by the author, via Skype.
The book discussion, open to the public, meets on the first Wednesday of the month. The monthly discussion group is open to new members and registration is requested.

Here's what's happening in September at the Bluffton Public Library.
Paws 2 Read will be joining Storytime on Mondays, Sept. 9, and 23 at 6:30 p.m. After Storytime, kids (and kids at heart) may take turns reading to and hanging out with registered therapy dogs from Pet Partners, a leading national therapy animal organization.
Bluffton Public Library has changed its "1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Completion Celebration,' The event is rescheduled for 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the library.
This celebration is for families who have completed the 1,000 books before Kindergarten program.
The library will provide pizza and snacks for the whole family. Families planning to attend should let the library staff know and also if any family members have specific dietary needs.
The library is offering a Lettering workshop on Monday, Aug. 26 from 6-7 p.m., which allows participants to learn more about the art of hand lettering. This workshop is for ages 12 and above, and although the event is free, the library requests you register.
The library is hosting an information session on Bluffton's Water at 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 29 in the lower level meeting room. Wessler Engineering and the Village of Bluffton are co-presenting this session. Please register at the library at 419-358-5016.
