Toledo Zoo presentation, touch-a-truck, indoor picnic, plus lots more

Monday, June 5, is Library Fun Day.

It kicks off a two-month summer reading program at Bluffton Public Library.

"Every summer, the library’s goal is to encourage people of all ages to learn and grow throughout every stage of their lives. This summer’s theme is Build a Better World," said Jessica Hermiller, library director.

The events foster the theme to Build a Better World and are open to all library patrons of all ages.

...And the Toledo Zoo & Aquarium and Bluffton’s Fire Department, Police Department, and EMS will be there to celebrate!

Every summer, Bluffton Public Library’s goal is to encourage people of all ages to learn and grow throughout every stage of their lives. Continuing with this tradition, this summer’s theme is “Build a Better World.”

A Youth Art Lesson presented by Janette Reineke will be held on May 25 at 3:30 p.m.

This program is open to ages 11-13, and the supply fee is $8 (cash only) at the door.

Kids will explore Picasso’s cubism technique and walk away with their very own mask.

Advance registration is required. Please register with the library by May 22.

Need a good book or two or three for summer reading?

The Bluffton Friends of the Library hold its spring used book sale at the library later this week. The sale runs from 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, through 1 p.m., Saturday, May 13. Books are on sale in the library's lower level.

All proceeds from the book sale go to support library programs such as summer read, children's read, staff education and assisting in equipment purchase.
