Bluffton Public Library will host a Japanese cultural event on January 21 at 6:30.  The flyer attached provides the information.

Next week from Monday through Saturday, Dec. 14-19,  Bluffton Public Library invites its patrons to participate in its “Food for Fines” incentive program.

Here's how it works:
When patrons stop by the front desk with a non-perishable food item, they will receive a dollar off their library fines. BPL requests items that do not expire until well after the holidays so local families in need can make use of all donations.

That's music we hear coming from the Bluffton Public Library. Also computers clicking and a special Santa Paws Storytime.

Holiday music will be performed at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 7, and in other Mondays in December. Guest musicians vary from week to week, and include, Wendy Chappell-Dick, Rainbow Dulcimers and Dulcimer Gatherin’, Jim Boedicker and Ed Zickafoose. Stop by to listen, join in, and enjoy some refreshments.

December is full of activities at the Bluffton Public Library. Here's the schedule:

Chill Zone continues on Dec. 1 and 15 at 3:30 p.m.This is a time for teens and tweens (6th grade and up) to snack, talk, play games, watch movies, and make crafts.  On Dec. 15, Chill Zone will celebrate the holidays with a party during their regular meeting time.

As a part of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), BPL presents its 2015 Writer’s Series.  Starting right away on Nov. 2, come to our kick-off “Come Write In” event!  Fellow NaNoWriMo writers can share plot and character ideas, browse online NaNoWriMo forums, eat snacks, drink coffee or tea, and commiserate with other local writers attempting the seemingly impossible-- writing a novel in one month! So, bring your laptop or notebook to start (or continue) your novel, and don’t forget to check out the library’s display of resources for writers.
