Bluffton’s Spiritual Life Week focus

Students ‘reimagine’ the Church during Bluffton’s Spiritual Life Week.

Using the theme “Reimagining the Church: Looking Back to Move Forward” as inspiration, Bluffton University students explored the relevance of the Church in the modern era during Spiritual Life Week. The week-long, student-led examination of faith is held each semester on Bluffton’s campus.

For Jenny Dorsey, a Bible and theology major from Hilliard, Ohio, and chair of the Spiritual Life Week Committee, the topic is of vital importance.

Nick White, assistant professor of English at The Ohio State University, will present a reading of “Sweet and Low” during Bluffton University’s annual English Festival Forum at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, in Yoder Recital Hall.

The Forum is part of Bluffton’s 35th annual English Festival where high school students are invited to spend the day at Bluffton to interact with speakers and Bluffton English faculty.

Bluffton University will host a concert featuring its Jazz Ensemble and Gospel Choir at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, in Yoder Recital Hall. The performance is free and open to the public; a free-will offering will be taken during intermission for music scholarships.
