Ottawa's Fortman Insurance expands to downtown Bluffton

A Bluffton Main Street business is one month old on Aug. 1. Fortman Insurance Services, Inc., of Ottawa, opened a branch office at 115 N. Main St., Bluffton, in the former Book Reviews store front on July 1.

Catherine Fortman of the company told The Icon that due to the expanding number of clients outside Putnam County, the need to expand to a second location made sense. Instead of expanding in Ottawa, the company chose to open a branch in downtown Bluffton.

Suter's Produce familiar red stands selling fresh produce

Suter's Produce, rural Pandora, has its familiar red stands open in various locations in Bluffton, Pandora, Lima, Findlay and other communities.

The stands have sweet corn "picked every day." Stands also carry other produce including peaches and tomatoes.

Local stands are:

Bluffton - State Route 103 - Circle K

Bluffton - Farmer's market - Saturday mornings

Pandora - Rodabagh Brothers Meats - Basinger/Pandora Road

Entrepreneurial Network luncheon today at Jeanne's at 11:30 a.m.

Women's Entrepreneurial Network (WEN) - open to women and men - will meet at 11:30 a.m., Monday, July 18, in Jeanne's Kitchen, 112 Vine St., Bluffton.

Linda Everhardt-Kardux, president of the organization, said that the meeting is open to all business owners, sole proprietors, sales people, people thinking about starting a business and people looking for a career change.
