Music in the Alley, located at Roots by Strattons, will feature, The Usual Suspects.

The talented trio is back by popular demand to perform on Wednesday, August 25 from 5 to 7 p.m.

This year's Concert on the Lawn, originally scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 22, has been cancelled, according to Jason Cox, Director of Marketing at Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio.

"The difficult decision to cancel this year's Concert on the Lawn on Sunday was recently made due to a continued increase in COVID-19 cases locally. While everyone was looking forward to this event, the commitment to our residents and families' safety is always our priority," said Cox.

The Community Meal on Thursday, August 19 will be a drive thru only meal.

The Presbyterian Church will be serving shredded chicken sandwiches, potato salad, watermelon wedge and cookie.

The meal starts at 6 p.m. Enter the alley behind the Senior Center on the Family Dollar side and exit out behind the town hall.

The meal is free but a good will offering will be taken for the food pantry.

Money goes toward updating and purchasing equipment

Beaverdam-Richland Fire & Rescue will be holding a fundraising cookout during the Lincoln Highway Buy-Way sales.

The dates of this year's garage sales are Aug. 12, 13, and 14.

Options include a variety of sandwiches, chips, and drinks.

The station is located at 201 W. Main St., Beaverdam.

All proceeds will be used for updating and purchasing equipment.

The Bluffton Relay for Life will be held on August 20 at Bluffton Presbyterian Church lawn from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The schedule of events includes a survivor meal, silent auction, pie auction, games for kids, and more.

Phil Schey of Kristi's Music Studio will be performing on the piano a selection of soft jazz and gentle pop.

Stop by the Twisted Whisk, grab a taco from Campito Lindo or a snack at Shirley's popcorn before you come. Please bring lawn chairs. After the music stop by Luke's for a burger or Greenhorn for a wine tasting event.
