"He will be demonstrating as well as selling his beautiful enduring forrest pieces," she said. "Jeanna Haggard will also be serving a fruit salad and there will be other samplings."

As several summer events return after a one-year absence, here's another popular one to anticipate.

Tommy Tire, 319 N. Main St., Bluffton will one again hold their customer appreciation day, according to Tom Dotson, owner.

The event is on Thursday, July 22 (rain date Friday, July 23) during business hours.

The activities planned include ice cream from Lugibihl's and door prizes for kids.

A circle for women writing will organize at 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 30, in the Bluffton Presbyterian Church gazebo, according to hosts Katherine Beckett and Corrie Reed.

The two are graduates of the Wellstreams Program for Spiritual Formation and the Art of Spiritual Direction.

The program takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

“When was the last time you took time for yourself?” said Reed. “Time for your true, authentic self to be present and heard. Join us for an evening of writing in circle and discovering your voice.”

The Hardin County Museum and the Hardin County Players present "A Picnic with our Ancestors," from noon to 2 p.m., Saturday, July 31, at Grove Cemetery, Kenton.

Tickets are $15, which includes a sack lunch, or $10 if you'd like to bring your own lunch. Deadline for ticket purchase is Saturday, July 10.

First Discovery Day of the summer - with a long list of activities

A music-themed Discovery Day with outdoor activities and a Bluffton Bucks prize drawing will be hosted by Bluffton businesses on Saturday, June 26.

The village’s downtown district along Main Street has more than 60 shops, services and restaurants. Bluffton also hosts a Saturday morning Bluffton Cars & Coffee gathering and the Bluffton Farmers Market.

Festival of Wheels cancelled today • May take place on another date this summer

Blame it on the weather.

The Bluffton Lions Club Festival of Wheels set for today (Friday, June 18) is cancelled according to Dan Diller, chair of the event.

He said that the club is working on a plan to hold the festival later this summer. Watch the Icon for updates.

In the meantime, Bubba BBQ will be on Main Street throughout the day, offering its barbecue menu.
