Bluffton Senior Citizens can’t wait for October as several programs return to the calendar for its members.
Tonya Meyer, director, said, “We finally have the okay to start programming, but the list of rules and regulations is long. We are going to start with just a few programs in October and will expand every month as long as we all stay healthy.”
Check the October newsletter attached below for specific instructions for each of these programs.
Reservations are required for several events by calling 419-358-8971.
Join Transition Bluffton and Johnny Appleseed Park District land stewards, Anne Smedley and Austin Roby, for an informative presentation on native and invasive plant species in Bluffton.
The event will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 7:30 p.m. on Zoom.
Anne and Austin will share information on native plant species that enhance wildlife habitat, including information on seeding and planting. They will also discuss some of the most problematic invasive species found in our area, including techniques for removing these species.
Riley Creek Arbor announces a free admission opportunity to Icon viewers who visit Suter’s corn maze from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 27, according to Gary Reese, of Faith Investment Services.
The event benefits the Bluffton Community Assistance Program’s food pantry. Free admission goes to any individual who provides two unexpired, non-perishable food items.
This offer is open to the first 200 persons to visit the corn maze on Sunday.
“Please check the expiration dates on your food donations become coming to the maze,” said Reese.
The Bluffton "pop-up shop" returns to The Centre, 601 N. Main St., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 26.
"Your favorite direct sales companies are gathering together in one location to share products and services," said Cindy Luginbuhl, one of the event planners.
"Door prizes and some vendors will have samples to share. As a courtesy to all, we ask that you wear face coverings and practice social distancing during the event," she said.
