FROM ADA ICON - Ada Historical Society invites the public to a program at 6 p.m., Saturday, June 29,  at War Memorial Park. 

The guest speaker, Dr. Karl Roider, and others will share "Tales of Ada."  Information on membership, the society, the fall 2019 cemetery tour, and ideas for future speakers will be available. 

"Meet with friends and neighbors, and reconnect with things you love about our wonderful little village. Ada is worth celebrating and we hope you will join us," said Rhett Grant, society member.

A free VIP showing of Disney’s “Toy Story 4” takes place Saturday, June 29, at  10 a.m. at the Shannon Theatre.

The showing is sponsored by Magical Moments Vacations, Findlay.

“Are you an educator, first responder, firefighter, in law enforcement, a military family or work in health care? We wish to say ‘thank you’ for our local heroes,” said Jen Kistler of Magical Moments.

“The only requirement to see this free showing is to obtain a validated registration to ensure everyone has a seat,” she said.

The Ohio Northern University free mobile health clinic will be at the Bluffton Public Library from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Friday, June 28.

The clinic offers:
• free screenings for blood pressure
• blood glucose
• lipids (please fast for 12 hours prior to your arrive at the clinic) 

Participants may speak with Healthwise students and staff about their results or concerns.

FROM ADA ICON - "There is still time to sing and dance this summer!" says Vicki Mills.

Miss Vicki's Music Studio, 2613 State Route 81, Ada, will run a five-week Family Music class for babies to 5 year olds and their parent/caregiver. 

The class runs from Thursdays, June 27 to Aug. 1, from 5:30 - 6:10 p.m. 

Monthly gathering at Masterpiece Signs

Masterpiece Signs, 902 N. Main St., next Bluffton Cars and Coffee event is Saturday, June 22. 

The event is an “informal gathering for enthusiasts and their cars," said Tim Boutwell. The monthly cars and coffee event continues through October. It is always held on the fourth Saturday of the month.

Each event is from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the following Saturdays:  June 22, July 27, Aug. 24, Sept. 28 and Oct. 26.

New Leaf Landscape and Garden Center, 0395 State Route 235, Ada, has openings in its fairy garden workshop.

The workshops start at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., Saturday, June 29. Persons interested in attending either one may call or email for a spot, as space is limited.

The workshop will focus on creating a home for fairies in gardens. Participants may bring their own pot or container or purchase one at New Leaf.

The New Leaf staff will provide soil, and participants will purchase plants and accessories.
